Searching for crazy wisdom

I'm crazy about this style of decorating at the moment, I really like the white and neutral tones, so simple and clean. I used to love bright colours, I never imagined I'd enjoy such a pared down neutral palette but I really, really am loving it. (via Elle Decoration SA)

Loving all of these - the ethereal beauty of Lovenia's SS09 Spring collection (via Siagrafica), candleholders by Jean Pelle Designs (via Visual Notes), and the cutest little mugs by Skinny Laminx.

This is the sweetest photo, I adore the styling and the light.

I want these beautiful sunny Autumn days we are having right now to last forever. Today I wish could stay at home and sit in the garden instead of having to go to work later. I love this picture, I need a sofa just like this and flags strung out in the trees. I'll sit here and read, and drink homemade lemonade.

These remind me of something out of the Arabian nights, the colours are so intense and heavenly.

I want this couch, I love the style and the colour. (by stylist Selina Lake via Made by Girl)

Like a flower buried in the sea

She puts on her lipstick and mascara, she's going out with her friends, but she dreams of finding love.....

I will wait for you forever

Even if life is good, I think it's still important to have the space to dream. No matter how far away or impossible your dreams might seem now, who knows what the future will bring. Dreams help to keep your hopes alive. When you're caught up in the impossible speed of day to life, and many of your hours are fulled with paperclips, fluorescent lights, dirty socks and barking dogs, it's easy to forget your inner hopes and desires. Your dreams help you stay true to yourself, to remember who you are, and what you want for your life.

This beautiful editorial reminded me of a dream I used to have about running off to live with the hippies, I imagined a world without deadlines, or offices or places to be at on time. I'd live in a community of love and integrity, grow my own vegetables, and weave garlands of flowers for my hair. I am a hopeless romantic, but my idealism (mostly) is tempered with a healthy dose of reality so I never did decide to run off and join the hippies, I reckon that living in a teepee might be fun for....well, about a day, and the hippies I came across always seemed to live a pretty much hand to mouth existence, living off their arts and crafts and tye dye T-shirts. That dream has changed.....I'd still like to be able to drop out for a couple of months at some stage, do a bit of travelling, maybe live for a while in a remote beach cottage......but definitely no hippies involved.

Keeping my head above water

The wedding I went to last night was so beautiful. Just small and intimate with about twenty guests. The ceremony was held at the couple's house, they had some long white candles in simple, elegant silver candle holders, and rose petals scattered on the floor. They exchanged vows that they had written themselves, and with only close friends and family present, they created an atmosphere of incredible warmth and intimacy. Standing there, my heart seemed to swell in my chest, and I experienced one of those magical moments when you feel real love, and truth and honesty, and you almost want to burst into tears from the beauty of it all.

Right now I am loving simple white decor, and uncluttered spaces. I don't think I'd like to live in a house that is pure white, I need splashes of colour, but I'm still admiring these dreamy interiors, and although it's all white, it's not too minimalist, it still has lovely touches of a romantic style. I'm feeling totally inspired by these beautiful journal pages by Erin at Design for Mankind (via sfgirlbay). After looking at them I feel like I need to immedietely go start working on my own art journals which I have neglected over this past week.
