hazy, lazy

Today was a beautiful day. A slow, lazy day...time to think, and read, and then dinner out with friends. I was thinking today about travelling, and all those journeys you dream of making one day. My dream destinations change from time to time. For the last while I have had a dream of taking a train journey on the Orient Express. I imagine stepping into a bygone age of elegance and luxury with a cast of passengers like something out of an Agatha Christie film - without the murders of course. Travelling through exotic places, Istanbul, Prague, Budapest.

My second dream destination would be to travel through all the Scandinavian countries including Iceland and Greenland, to see the northern lights and to be able to stay for at least one night in an igloo. My third dream destination would be to take a road trip through the USA, to visit small towns and large - definitely on the agenda New York, LA, the deep south, the Carolina barrier islands and Miami. The ideal road trip for me would be to have LOTS of time on my hands, to have an eventual destination in mind, say East Coast to West Coast, but to have no definite timetable.

What is your dream destination or holiday? I'd love to hear.














And then all I need is a little fairy dust to help my dreams come true.

    I want to do a roadtrip too! With a big sketchbook so I can record my journey as I go - whether around europe or america, I really wouldn't mind where! Just so long as I had loads of mixtapes XD

    GREAT post ! those pictures really makes you wanna hit the road ! well well, you know i wanna sleep in an igloo as well ;-) i did the road trip thru USA and it's AWESOME ! definitly should be on your to do list... right now i'm feeling...Argentina or Peru would be great..but i aslo wanna see Iceland and India...okey...i need to see the whole world.

    I love travelling too, and I have so many places that I need to see and experience still. Especially Japan - maybe that's my dream destination.

    We get the northern lights here in the winter - absolutely beautiful!

    beautiful pictures, and when you travel through Scandinavia you have to come and visit me!

    i adore the icelandic scenery, so my dream destination would have to be Greenland too. but then again i also love Europe, in particular France. it'd be divine traveling on a bike through vineyards...

    my list of travel destinations grows longer all the time - and these are just the places i've never been. i'd love to revisit some cities i've been to before, but i always feel there's so little time. bhutan has been on my mind a lot lately :)

    My dream at the moment is to buy a boat on the east coast of America, sail it to the Caribbean then through the Panama canal and up the west coast to Canada.

    My boy wants to do the Orient Express too but I'm not too keen on trains!

    I would love to visit the Scandinavian countries as well. There are so many places in the world that I would love to visit, like Japan or India, but my dream vacation would be a suite at the Ritz in Paris, all the room service I want, wandering around from cafe to museums all day. mmm what a dream xx

    I would basically like to go everywhere ;D that's pretty much my goal in life. just observe, take pictures, write, expierience different cultures, see other people's daily life. now if only I could find someone willing to pay for that...
